The health and well being of the marginalized families in the villages will be ensured through organic production, consumption and pursuing traditional medicine.
COVID-19 pandemic plunged the entire world into a crisis, affecting almost all sectors of society. The nationwide lockdown not just affected the people financially but has also posed a serious concern for the psyco social needs of individuals. In the history of mankind, no pandemic has created such devastating impact on humanity across the globe. Half of India’s people are food insecure which means they lack access to sufficient safe and nutritious food. Around 60% of the poorest people from India’s scheduled tribes and scheduled castes, are also anemic. This means that a total lockdown, while it may help stop the spread of coronavirus, is likely to have a significant impact on food and nutrition. Migrants particularly women and children are the worst affected, out of work and without an income, in the absence of these ration cards, humanitarian social assistance is the only hope, where quite a number of NGOs and CSOs had reached the marginalized with relief packages.
