Objectives | 1. Establishment of Migrant facilitation (Resource and assistance) Centers in 8 Locations to have a proper database on migrants, promoting their access to services like government schemes and enrollment in unorganized labor welfare board 2. Skill development training to the selected in and out migrants in source districts on specific trades, enabling them for safe migration, providing appropriate job with decent wages. 3. Capacitate members of CBOs and MFC Staff team and TASOSS on social inclusion of migrants and laborers in Unorganized Sector in the economic, social, political and cultural life |

The Project was launched and a detailed orientation on the objectives and activities was given to point persons. As a follow-up to the launch of the project and orientation the project point persons worked on identifying new villages and potential migrants.
1314 new migrants identified, covering five Zones of Tamil Nadu where 16 Migrant Facilitation Sub-Centre (MFCs) were established in the period of Dec 2022 to Mar 2023. MFCs identified Dalit, women migrants especially unmarried, widow or widower or Divorced or separated, formed as common interest groups at the selected villages. There are 44 common interest groups in which 21 widows, 6 physically challenged persons and 2 destitute women are included. The following are the details of services provided to the migrants.
189 beneficiaries have accessed Government and 98 beneficiaries’ accessed Non-Government schemes. Panchayat Raj Institutions play a very crucial role in developing programmes for the betterment of the migrants. TASOSS with its 8 MFCs have organized PRIs training under this project in which 637 PRI representatives and members viz Panchayat President, Ward members, Government officials and selected migrant workers were sensitized on migrant rights.
368 migrant youth from the project area, have identified and trained by linking them with different skill training institutions. This has helped them to pick-up useful vocational skills, increased their employment opportunities.
